Our Story

Singal Group has its roots in a transportation firm, Gainda Mal Chiranji Lal (GMCL), founded in 1961 in Kalka, Haryana. Between the mid-1960s and mid-1980s, GMCL emerged as the biggest transporter for ACC Ltd across north India.

During this period, GMCL stakeholders established a range of other businesses comprising of manufacturing of steel (Bhushan Steel Ltd & Haryana Electro Steel Ltd), manufacturing of activated carbon (Hypine Carbons Ltd), manufacturing of Swiss watches in technical collaboration with Swiss watchmaker Ardath & Co and exporting of bathroom fittings to the Middle East (Kuldip Industrial Corporation).

Singal Group formally came into being post GMCL’s split in early 1984. In the years following the split, the group’s founder, Seth Kuldip Prakash, established successful businesses in metal trading and manufacturing of sheet metal components for the tractor industry.

The current group CEO, Mr. Chitranjan Aggarwal, took over the reins from his father in 1992. In the last 27 years, Singal Group’s revenues have grown from Rs 12 million to over Rs 2500 million. Today, the group has 3 manufacturing facilities across north & central India and a sizeable presence in transportation and distribution of petroleum and polymer products.
